FAQ
WHAT IF MY CHILDREN DON’T COOPERATE?
There is no expectation for your children to sit still, smile on command, or “behave” perfectly. I use gentle guidance, play, and plenty of patience to give children space to warm up and be themselves. In fact, the movement, laughter, and little in-between moments are often what make your photographs feel most like your family.
When preparing your children, I recommend simply telling them you’re going somewhere fun together rather than asking them to smile or behave for the camera.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
You won’t have to figure this out alone. You’ll receive styling guidance to help with colors, coordination, and choosing pieces that photograph beautifully while still feeling like you. My client wardrobe is also available for mothers and little ones.
WHERE CAN OUR SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Sessions may take place outdoors or in the comfort of your own home. I have a location guide with carefully scouted options, but I’m always happy to consider a place that is especially meaningful to your family.
WHAT ARE CHILDHOOD HEIRLOOM PORTRAITS?
Childhood Heirloom Portraits place the focus on your child—their personality, expressions, and all the little details that belong to this particular age. These sessions are intentionally simple and created with printed artwork in mind, preserving this season of childhood beyond the digital gallery.
HOW DO EXTENDED FAMILY SESSIONS WORK?
Extended family sessions are designed for multiple generations or households photographed together. We’ll create photographs of the entire family as well as smaller combinations, such as grandparents with grandchildren, individual households, siblings, couples, and children.
Because every extended family is different, session details are planned according to the size and needs of your group.
HOW CAN I BOOK A SEASONAL PETITE SESSION?
Seasonal Petite Sessions are offered only on select dates throughout the year and are not available as regular year-round bookings. Email subscribers receive first access to new dates, early booking opportunities, and occasional subscriber-only offers.
